The first day we met Teacher Edwin. . . I was listening from outside, and it sounded like Justin had a motor in his mouth — he didn’t stop talking for a whole hour! He really should listen to the teacher too, haha. Each week, the lessons are guided so well around topics Justin loves — snakes, the Amazon, animal camouflage, and more. What impressed me even more was the thoughtful feedback email from the teacher.

Even when saying goodbye to the teacher, you can see how excited he is — just look at him waving his hand so energetically! After consistently doing Nao Now’s elementary-level video English lessons for three months, it’s clear that his fear of English has completely transformed into fun and excitement!

The native English-speaking teacher we met through the trial lesson was incredibly bright and full of energy. My child is already extremely extroverted, but the teacher was even more outgoing! Maybe that’s why they spent the entire 25 minutes laughing and chatting non-stop.

We tried all kinds of ways to help our child study, but my kid absolutely refused to go to another academy. And as for workbooks? They just piled up without being used! During the small talk at the start of each class,  my child gets to introduce favorite things like dolls or snacks,  and naturally picks up English expressions along the way. The teachers really listen to what the child wants, and they always tailor the lesson perfectly to match their interests and needs.

It doesn’t feel like studying—it feels like chatting with a foreign friend! Classes are held in such a relaxed, fun environment. The teacher tailors the topics based on my child’s interests, which keeps her engaged the whole time. Because the lessons are built around exciting themes that spark curiosity, there’s no time to get bored.

The advanced, rotating topics help my child learn culture more easily. The vocab classes aren’t just about repeating pronunciation—they involve learning new meanings and using them in real sentences, which helps him immediately apply the words. We also love the variety of video-based lessons and the way mentors lead the class with so much energy.

Even though my child is only 6 and doesn’t speak much yet, the teacher leads the class wonderfully. The vocabulary lists and videos provided on the website are super helpful. On non-class days, we review past topics and even choose the theme for the next lesson using the site—very convenient!

Classes are so fun that an hour flies by before we even notice! We do experiments, watch videos, and even take quizzes—it's so engaging that it always feels too short. We hope to keep learning with the amazing Nao Now teachers for a long time!

Of course—I tried all the free trial programs. Since my child didn’t attend an English kindergarten, I wanted to make sure there was consistent exposure to English every day. So I had them take 25–30 minute classes every weekday. Company C had solid content, but we couldn’t find a teacher that really clicked with my child, so we eventually stopped. As for Nao Now, we’ve been with them for almost a year now—and still going strong.

When we first started online English lessons, I was worried — “Will she be able to do this?” But now, that worry has changed into “She can do this! ” and “She’s doing great!" I used to feel impatient too, but now I remind myself not to rush and just focus on keeping her interest alive. On the days she has video calls with her teacher, she gets super excited!

The teacher originally planned to do a lesson on how to make pancakes. But suddenly — my child brought up Pokémon… and just like that, the topic switched. I was sitting nearby thinking, “Wait, are we seriously doing an English class about Pokémon? ” But… it actually worked.

In every class, a new word is introduced, and my child learns it through images and then discusses it with the teacher using videos. That makes it stick much longer in her memory. The lessons are based on Nao Now’s original materials, and the teacher guides the conversation naturally based on my child’s curiosity and questions. It really brings out the best in video learning. We’re very satisfied!

Nao Now teachers are really passionate about teaching English and I can feel they're very well prepared for lessons. They also have a great mentor matching system for students with different interests. For example, my daughter mentioned that her dream is becoming a movie director, and Nao Now matched her with a mentor who majored film in NYU. She's extremely happy that she's able to have different activities related to making movies with a mentor from filming background.

You can really feel how attentive the teachers are when they naturally correct the child’s grammatical mistakes during lessons. What I’m always impressed by is that the teachers directly teach aspects of American culture that kids can’t learn in Korea—this is a huge strength of the program. Since language and culture grow hand in hand, I really appreciate how much Nao Now focuses on these cultural elements :)

We had tried other well-known platforms, but many lacked quality teachers or suffered from poor connection issues. The classes also felt too childish for our 10-year-old, which made it hard to stay engaged. Nao Now stood out for having native English-speaking teachers from North America, so we decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be the most enjoyable class experience so far. The teacher was professional, the class was smooth, and my child had a great time. We're very satisfied with the quality and level of the lessons.

My child had taken classes with another online platform before, but we always felt something was lacking in the content. In contrast, the speaking classes at Nao Now cover fascinating real-life topics—like black holes, TikTok, Uber, cheeseburgers, Walmart, and Black Friday. Each lesson involves reading a short passage or watching a video about the topic, followed by a conversation with the teacher. Students learn vocabulary related to the theme, and after class, the teacher sends a feedback email summarizing the new words learned—so it becomes a great opportunity for vocabulary review as well. Every aspect of Nao Now’s class feels complete and well thought out—there’s nothing we’d change.

What I love about Nao Now is the variety and quality of the topics. My child isn’t just learning English—he’s learning about American culture, knowledge, and current events. Other programs just follow a textbook page by page, which gets boring fast. And it was hard to find consistently great teachers when we tried book-based programs. With Nao Now, lessons are based on engaging topics that match each child’s level, and my child gets to choose the themes—this boosts focus and interest. Plus, the teachers are graduates from top universities, including Ivy League schools. That’s a huge reassurance as a parent.

Most importantly, my child loves the class. He gets to dive deep into a single topic with the teacher, and the sessions are very well-led. Compared to other platforms, the teachers here use much richer vocabulary. It’s easy to pick up casual English through regular conversation, but to truly level up, you need more than that—and Nao Now delivers through engaging topics, videos, and games. I even mentioned how great the teachers’ academic backgrounds were, and now my son is motivated to work harder, too. Every time he gets praised after class, he beams with pride. I can’t wait to see how much more he’ll grow in the months ahead.

After starting elementary school, Youngwoo stopped attending English academies. But now, every week, he spends time with Mentor Rachel—sometimes I can’t tell if they’re studying or just having a blast together! He looks forward to Wednesdays more than anything. At first, I used to peek in and take photos or videos out of curiosity, but now I don’t even bother—he’s completely at ease. His teacher has become like a real friend, and their smiles while chatting are just the sweetest. Thank you, mentor, for loving him so much. We’re writing this because he wants to join the Valentine’s campaign with Mom!

We’ve been with Nao Now for over a year. We started because my child was afraid of talking to foreigners, but it’s been an incredibly satisfying experience.
What I like:
1. All the teachers are highly qualified—our current teacher is an actual classroom teacher, so we fully trust her.
2. We can do classes anywhere—on vacation, at grandma’s house… once we even showed the teacher the ocean and introduced grandpa!
3. My child isn’t fluent yet, so sometimes it’s hard to communicate—but the songs, chants, and videos really help.
4. There are fun assignments, like filming an ice cream review or introducing something. It’s low-pressure but super engaging.

My child has built knowledge mainly through reading — not through English academies or language schools. He knew a lot of advanced vocabulary, but had trouble using them in speech. That’s why he wanted to try online classes with a native speaker. More than casual conversation, he hoped for topic-based discussions to expand his thinking, and we also wanted him to naturally pick up diction and intonation. That’s why we felt Nao Now, with its team of excellent teachers, was the right fit. In the beginning, we started with topics he was interested in. He enjoyed doing the homework and gradually got more engaged. Lately, he even chooses unfamiliar topics and challenges himself, sharing new vocabulary he’s learned through class. The lesson materials prepared by the teachers are very helpful, and he genuinely enjoys the classes. He even asks for more! Recently, we started a debate-style class with a native teacher, which helped him adjust quickly and feel more comfortable. We’ll keep watching his progress, but especially during a time when going to language schools is tough due to COVID, I think this is an amazing way for him to grow deeper and wider in his English.
