Bucket List Personal Projects
Nao Now's personal projects are hands-on, experiential projects that allow students to explore their interests and passions in a creative and meaningful way, while also improving and developing their English language skills.
The projects are based on the individual interests and passions of each student, and may take many different forms such as making film projects or creating a recipe book. These projects are designed to be student-led and self-directed, allowing students to take ownership of their learning and development.

Example Student STEM Personal Project
A student at Nao Now with a passion for science and aspirations for a future in medicine is paired with a mentor studying biology in college. The mentor guides the student in the creation of a personal project exploring the role of DNA in disease. In this personal project, the student learns the basics of DNA structure and its genetic significance. Together, the mentor and student discover how DNA encodes genetic information and the way mutations can cause diseases. By extracting DNA from strawberries, the student gets hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques and the scientific method, from hypothesis to analysis, enhancing their comprehension of the biological underpinnings of health and disease.
